OK, I know the news is a week old, but heck, I’ve been busy and Fred and Bert are absolutely LOUSY with pen-and-ink! I don’t think it came as much of a shock to anyone that the transition occurred two days ahead of time, in a secret location, with reporters brought in under blindfolds and that Paul Bremer scooted outta town faster than a cat thrown into a swimming pool. He DID find time to sign into effect a whole buncha regulations that further limited the Iraqis’ ability to govern themselves, like exempting US contractors from prosecution. I’m back in VA for a few days (so NICE to be back), but will be returning to NJ this weekend…
