Back to work and catching up with the Schiavos

The good doctor gets it wrong (EJ Dionne) Dionne puts the case on Bill Frist squarely where it belongs–he said he was talking as a physician more than as a politician, and said that Schiavo’s condition didn’t sound like a vegetative state. Now he’s trying to say he really hadn’t said anything of the kind. The fact was, he had been speaking more as a politician than as a physician even back then, a polly with an agenda, just as much an agenda as Jeb Bush has in opening an investigation of whether Michael Schiavo was negligent in summoning aid for his wife and whether or not that was connected to abuse. GRANDSTANDING.
