HAIL DUBYUS!

An Illustrated Guide to Mendacity and Folly in the Imperium Americanum

Hey, I put my shoes out for St. Nicholas–and they NEVER RETURNED!

Two Shoes that Shook the World

Why does democracy mean that people hate me?

Size 10, Bush cracked…how soon has he forgotten that when Saddam’s statue was toppled, the Iraqis came up and beat on it with their shoes? This is the way of democracy, he said. If so, why have the Iraqis turned al-Zeidi over to the military police for interrogation? Would it hurt Bush to say to al-Maliki–hey, don’t torture him, it’ll look bad for me and worse for you? Well, yes, it would, because Bush is a sick man. It took an Iraqi to do what many Americans felt like doing, what Nancy Pelosi ought to have done by initiating impeachment, telling Bush to his face just how low a scumbag he really is. It’s the best Christmas present the world has gotten in years. Too bad the man who did it is going to suffer for the actions no one else had the balls to do.

The Press Corps starts to acquire…Christmas tree Balls?

He had better stop drinking--I see two of him

(Wayne Madsen) Bush reported to be drinking heavily
“A well-placed White House source has confirmed a previous account of another well-connected White House source that Bush had been drinking while watching a Sunday NFL playoff game between Baltimore and Miami.
“The White House nurse on duty examined Bush after he passed out from drinking at around 5:35 pm and took a blood sample ostensibly to check his blood sugar levels. The blood sample reportedly showed Bush’s blood alcohol content at a level considered to be legal intoxication.
“Bush fell from his couch bruising his cheek and cutting his lip. His eyeglasses also cut the side of his face. Bush blamed the incident on his failure to heed his mother’s advice and chew all his food before he swallowed.” …
“Our sources also report that Laura Bush’s stays at the White House are less frequent and that her overnight trips to the Mayflower Hotel often coincide with the president’s drunken binges.”
Looks like he’s a fake about everything…

Happy Thanksgiving

Congress Must Debate The Implications Of A Bush Self-Pardon

From USALONE: Many people have been asking us, “Could Bush actually pardon himself?”. Would it be despicable? Sure it would. Would it be shameless and cowardly? Yes, that and that too. But all those adjectives fit Bush like O.J.’s glove before it shrunk from being soaked completely in blood. Which means he is absolutely is planning on doing it.
And only impeachment could stop it. We need to talk about this. We need Congress to talk about this. And Congress is in session this week, so we need you to speak out this week while there is still
time.
Impeach Now Action Page
From Democrats.com: President Bush not to pardon senior administration officials for crimes the President authorized. It notes:
President George W. Bush may have committed crimes involving the mistreatment of detainees, the extraordinary rendition of individuals to countries known to engage in torture, illegal surveillance of United States citizens, unlawful leaks of classified information, obstruction of justice, political interference with the conduct of the Justice Department, and other illegal acts
and that
Bush has been urged to grant preemptive pardons to senior administration officials who might face criminal prosecution for actions taken in the course of their official duties…
Rep. Nadler’s leadership is crucial because he chairs the House Judiciary Committee’s  Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties  and can use his credibility and clout to move the resolution forward either during the lame duck session in December or when the next Congress convenes on January 6.
So our next step is to persuade as many Representatives as possible to co-sponsor H.Res. 1531. Please sign our new petition.
We will be taking off the rest of the week for Thanksgiving. Y’all have a great turkey day.!
