And while we were horsing around, killing almost 2/3 of a million people to prevent Saddam Hussein from developing a non-existent weapons program, we let slip the opportunity to negotiate with Kim Jung Il from a position of strength. Now that nutcase HAS nuclear weapons and our position is so weak, we have virtually no carrots and no sticks except the BIG stick, which we can’t use unless we feel we can afford to have South Korea or Japan hit with retaliation.

Tomorrow is the best birthday in the world hahaha MINE. Congratulations to all who share this wonderful date with me, a holiday where you get a day off and don’t lose any presents, and we’ll see you next week.

Good News, Bad News

(US Newswire) Union of Concerned Scientists: Failed North Korea Missile Test Not Surprising; Door Now Open for Diplomacy

The Good News is that the North Korean missile tests were best described as failures. The Bad News is that they still have more missiles and can try again. The Worse News is that our president is still George Bush, who, despite his lies and blunders, has managed to stay in office until his 60th Birthday (errr, happy birthday George).

But in other matters, it seems this week that GOOGLE has indeed taken some action on the HAIL DUBYUS! status. No, they never wrote me to tell me any action was being done. I never really thought I’d ever receive any explanation or “oopsie” letter, but it would’ve been nice to get the–“we’ve discussed your problem and have taken action” letter. I just noticed my hits went up one day and checked the Safe Search pages. The Good News is that 99% of my cartoons that come up on Google Image Search show up on both moderate and strict Safe Searches. The Bad News is that, while before, 478 of my cartoons showed up on Image Search, now only 388 do (386 with moderate and strict Safe Search settings). So Google giveth with one hand and taketh away with the other. I haven’t decided how to pursue this yet, but rest assured I will let you know…
