(WashPost) Vice President Sued by Plame And Husband: Ex-CIA Officer Alleges Leak Of Her Name Was Retaliatory

Well, this isn’t gonna go far…We’ll see a move to quash based on the fact that the VP shouldn’t be sued “during wartime” to distinguish the motion from the reason why Bill Clinton could be sued. They’ll delay any proceedings by appeals up the chain of courts until they finally hit the Bush appointee who makes it go away. As long as no one was under oath, they can’t be hit with perjury charges, the only form of lying Republicans admit is wrong…when someone ELSE does it. Bob Novak is still portraying himself as the heroic defender of First Amendment rights while he is the lowest sycophant to crawl in a newsroom. The least he could’ve done was given a colorful codename to his stoolie. As Jon Stewart pointed out, no Deep Throat for Mr. Combover…

(UExpress) “DISGRACEFULLY” ATTACKING THE NEW YORK TIMES

Now Let Me See: Since 9/11, Bush has been telling us that we are tracking the terrrrrists by tracking the money, a perfectly legitimate and reasonable way of investigating them. The NY Times revealed he was actually telling the truth for once, using perfectly legitimate and PUBLICLY AVAILABLE means. The LA Times and Wall Street Journal, both also following the story, break their own versions. Bush and Cheney calls the Times disgraceful and some ass in the House accuses the paper of treason and the House votes a non-binding slap at the Times for revealing the big non-secret secret. So why the hubbub? Is it simply Republican grandstanding to please the conservative base before the ‘06 elections? Or is there something NON-legit about the probe the Times revealed? Gee, if you can track moneys to terrorists, it wouldn’t be hard to track moneys to liberal causes, track investments, and other transactions that it would be illegal to use the power of the government to trace…Or am I just paranoid about this administration that abuses its power every opportunity it gets?

Hey, Our President says ordinary Americans have nothing to worry about. Of course, a few months ago, he said, tapping into phone conversations required a court order, and that was a lie, and then he said that it was limited to international calls and well, that seems to be fudging it just a little, but let’s give him the benefit of the doubt…he’s got to tell the truth SOMETIME! As we all know, terrorism isn’t limited to al-Qaida either…druggies, protestors, all sorts of people “support terrorism.” And don’t you feel safer knowing that those cell phone calls you made from the No-Tell Motel when you were supposed to be at a meeting in Albuquerque are now part of the government database?

I’d prefer my skeletons remain in the closet, thank you … can you hear me now?
