Report: Walter Reed management outsourced
Once again the SPECTRE of Halliburton raises its ugly head. No, Dick Cheney’s old company isn’t directly responsible for this fiasco, but one of its former executives is. This company was one of the ones that failed to bring ice to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. And it’s pushed dozens of staffers out of Walter Reed, allowing our wounded soldiers to be treated, not by a fully-staffed flagship hospital, like it once was, but by a skeleton-crew operated horror movie set. My father-in-law was once one of the chief officers at Walter Reed some 40 years ago. He’d be turning in his grave if he knew what the conditions there were now. And this by an administration that claims it “Supports the troops.” Faugh! as if words without action meant something. Come to think of it, they’re all faith-not-works christians with a small c.
